BACKGROUND:
This project consists of drainage improvements within the southwest quadrant of Sawgrass Boulevard and Lyons Road, including the installation of a drainage structure, associated piping, and sidewalk improvements. The additional drainage structure will help alleviate surface water ponding during rainfall events, especially with the accumulation of debris, for vehicular safety.
DISCUSSION:
On March 22, 2026, the City issued Invitation for Bids (IFB) No. 04-21-26-10 through the e-Bid System for the Sawgrass Boulevard and Lyons Road Drainage Improvements project. Two (2) bids were received by the April 21, 2026, submission deadline from the following companies: (1) ConstructionX, LLC and (2) RG Underground Engineering. City staff thoroughly reviewed the bids for compliance and determined that ConstructionX, LLC submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The proposed construction contract with ConstructionX, LLC is in the amount of $89,289, and work is expected to be complete within one hundred fifty (150) days from the Notice to Proceed.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
