BACKGROUND:
Since 2005, the Parks & Recreation Department, in conjunction with our league’s coaches, annually nominates and selects recipients for the Youth Basketball Mayor’s Award. 2019 will mark the first year youth volleyball athletes will be awarded the Mayor’s Award.
Selection is based on teamwork and portrayal of good sportsmanship throughout the season. These recipients exemplified outstanding sportsmanship and promoted a positive experience for all of the participants.
The 2019 Youth Basketball Mayor’s Award recipients are:
6-8 Age Division - Joshua Pierre
9-10 Age Division - Silvio Basillio
11-12 Age Division - Jalen Daniel
13-14 Age Division - Maxwell Young
15-17 Age Division - Joshua Antonacci
The 2019 Youth Volleyball Mayor’s Award recipients are:
9-12 Age Division - Madisyn Young
13-15 Age Division - Anthony Lauro
