BACKGROUND:
Susan (Sue) Schmitt has proudly served the City of Coconut Creek for 35 years. Sue started with the City in 1986 as a Permit Technician. She was promoted to Permit Technician II in 1989 and ventured to the Engineering Department in 2000 as an Engineering Permit Technician. Sue returned to the Building Division in 2002 when she was promoted to her current position as Building Supervisor.
From those early days to present, Sue has been a major force in shaping the Building Division into a well-respected agency among homeowners, contractors, and consultants. Her knowledge and experience have proven to be invaluable, and we are especially grateful for her 35 years of service. She will be dearly missed but never has retirement been so well deserved.
