BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek’s Green Plan includes a Community Outreach and Empowerment goal that provides for designating a “Green Day,” which we now refer to as a “Sustainability Day,” to raise awareness on the importance of environmental stewardship. This year, in order to highlight both Earth Day on April 22 and the City’s Arbor Day Free Tree Giveaway event on April 26, the City designates April 21-28, 2025, as “City Sustainability Week 2025.”
