BACKGROUND:
This item was approved on First Reading at the February 25, 2021, City Commission Meeting.
The City desires to amend Chapter 13 of the Land Development Code to repeal regulations related to noise limitations, sound thresholds, and measuring techniques.
DISCUSSION:
Specifically, the City is proposing to repeal Section 13-522, entitled “Noise limitations,” which is outdated and no longer provides relevant standards. Further, noise is also regulated in Chapter 14 of the City Code, which is used for enforcement purposes. Therefore, the attached ordinance repeals Section 13-522 in its entirety.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Planning and Zoning Board, at its January 13, 2021, meeting, recommended approval of this ordinance.
