BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek would like to recognize the Coconut Creek Residence Inn by Marriott for being an outstanding community partner. On the evening of October 10, 2019, a fire sprinkler activation forced three condominiums to be evacuated in a building within the City. One family had a special needs member, and they had no place to go. The Residence Inn Manager, Kelly Malone, found the family a room and allowed them to stay there for several days while their condominium was being repaired. Without the generosity of the Residence Inn, the family would have had to evacuate to a local shelter.
