BACKGROUND:

Sergeant Stephen Guenther has proudly served the Coconut Creek Police Department for 34 years. During his tenure, he has held the positions of Public Safety Officer, Public Safety Corporal, Public Safety Supervisor, and Public Safety Sergeant.  In 2001, Sergeant Guenther was promoted to Police Sergeant and was in charge of the Records Unit before resuming his position as the Supervisor of a Patrol Division Team.  As such, he put his career experience to good use, mentoring his team members and setting a fine example for all new incoming officers.

While Sergeant Guenther recently suffered the heartbreak of losing his home in a devasting fire, his quiet, inner strength has helped him cope.  He has a caring family and his grandchildren help keep him motivated.  He plans to rebuild his home and enjoy his new role of “Retiree.”

Officer Steven Daniello has proudly served the Coconut Creek Police Department for nearly 23 years. During his tenure, he has held the positions of Public Safety Officer, School Resource Officer, K-9 Officer, and Police Officer.  In 2010, Officer Daniello advanced to Administration Officer to fill a much-needed position to satisfy all administrative needs, including upkeep on police radios and the alarm/security system, fleet purchasing, and overseeing police vehicle maintenance scheduling and issuing of all police units.

Officer Daniello is happily married to his wife, Caralynn.  He has two lovely daughters, Denise and Jamie, and two grandchildren, Michael and Ryan.  He plans to enjoy his new role of “Retiree” on his boat and in his trailer.
