A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ONE (1) REGULAR MEMBER TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY BOARD TO FILL THE REMAINDER OF A VACATED TERM.

BACKGROUND:

 

At the April 26, 2018, City Commission meeting, Charles Coxon was reappointed to the Environmental Advisory Board by Commissioner Mikkie Belvedere, as approved by Resolution No. 2018-071.  On September 12, 2018, Mr. Coxon resigned from the Board, creating a vacancy. In accordance with Section 501 of the City’s Charter and Section 2-242 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, vacancies occurring on the Board shall be filled for the unexpired term by the same procedure for initial appointments.

DISCUSSION:

This Resolution provides for the filling of the remainder of Mr. Coxon’s term, which will expire on the date of the second regularly-scheduled Commission meeting in April 2019.

Currently serving on the Board are: Delilah Harden, Board Chair; Irene Espinosa, Board Vice Chair; Dan Mackey; Susi Glatt; and Michel Chamberlain, Alternate.
