A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF COCONUT CREEK’S 2025 FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE AGENDA.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek works with its Federal Lobbyist each year to create a Federal Legislative Agenda to be submitted to the City’s Federal Delegation.
DISCUSSION:
Staff communicates throughout the year with the City’s Federal Lobbyists, Van Scoyoc Associates, and Congressman Jared Moskowitz’s office on Federal legislative issues impacting the City. Based on these communications, a public workshop was held at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025, to review the proposed Federal Legislative Agenda with the City Commission, Federal Lobbyists from Van Scoyoc Associates, and staff from Congressman Jared Moskowitz’s office. The Federal Legislative Agenda, attached as “Exhibit A,” outlines the City’s proposed Federal legislative priorities for the upcoming year. The highlighted yellow text in Exhibit “A” represents updates from the 2024 Federal Legislative Agenda.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
