BACKGROUND:
Last December, Detective Clint Corey attempted to assist our friends at the Foundation for Independent Living (FIL) to raise money so they could purchase some much needed gym equipment. After raising a few hundred dollars, Officer Lance Morgan put Detective Corey in contact with the Community Foundation of Broward. Detective Corey then coordinated an in-person meeting with all parties. After the well-received meeting, not only will FIL be receiving new yoga mats and jump ropes, the John I. Coddington, Jr. Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward will be presenting FIL with a $40,000 donation to support the needs of the organization.
