BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program.
DISCUSSION:
For Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24), the NEG Program has a budget of $195,000.00 to fund neighborhood projects. The Andros Village Neighborhood Association is requesting $10,000.00 in matching grant funds from the NEG Program to enhance community safety and security. The total project cost is $22,646.00. The program guidelines provide a maximum reimbursement of $10,000.00 for security projects.
The Andros Village Neighborhood Association application request is the first NEG of FY24. This grant project is a further enhancement of the community and satisfies the standards established by the NEG Program. Some records associated with this agenda item are exempt from public disclosure pursuant to Section 281.301, F.S. and Section 119.071(3)(a), F.S.

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
