BACKGROUND:
On an annual basis, in coordination with its independent auditors, the City issues and files with the City Clerk the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) on its financial position and activities for the previous fiscal year.
DISCUSSION:
The ACFR has been distributed to the City Commission under separate cover.
The acceptance of the ACFR for filing is not an indication that the City Commission has reviewed and/or completed discussion of the report. It demonstrates delivery of the audit report to each member of the governing body in compliance with the rules of the Auditor General. Commissioners are encouraged to review the ACFR and other documents and to discuss any questions with staff at any time prior to or after the meeting.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this motion.
