A MOTION TO GRANT AN EXTENSION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2021 SAWGRASS VILLAGE I NEIGHBORHOOD ENHANCEMENT MULTI-PHASE LANDSCAPE DESIGN PROJECT.

BACKGROUND:
On April 8, 2021, the City of Coconut Creek City Commission approved Resolution No. 2021-056, awarding the Sawgrass Village I Homeowners’ Association with up to $13,944.52 in matching grant funds from the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program (NEG) for Phase II of a multi-phase landscape design project. The NEG Program Guidelines require grantees to expend funds within nine (9) months of the award. A grantee may request a six (6) month extension from the City Commission.
DISCUSSION:
On December 6, 2021, City staff received a formal request for a six (6) month extension of the Sawgrass Village I NEG, citing delays from the tree removal company as the contributing factor.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this motion.
