body

BACKGROUND:

The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program.

DISCUSSION:

For Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26), the NEG Program has allocated a budget of $195,000 to fund neighborhood improvement projects. The Martinique I Condominium Association has submitted a request for $9,714.51 in matching grant funds to enhance community safety and security through the NEG Program, with a total project cost of $19,429.02. The program guidelines provide a reimbursement of fifty percent (50%) of the project costs up to a maximum of $10,000 for security projects.

Certain records relating to security systems for this agenda item are exempt from public disclosure pursuant to Section 281.301, F.S., and Section 119.071(3)(a), F.S., and have, therefore, not been made part of this agenda item. However, City staff has thoroughly reviewed all grant documents to ensure compliance with City requirements.

The Martinique I Condominium Association application is the fifth NEG request of FY26. The proposed grant project will further enhance the community and satisfies the standards established by the NEG Program.
