A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF COCONUT CREEK’S 2026 FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE AGENDA.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek works with its Federal Lobbyist, Van Scoyoc Associates, each year to develop a Federal Legislative Agenda for submission to the City’s Federal Delegation. This process ensures that Coconut Creek’s priorities and concerns are consistently represented on federal legislative issues.
DISCUSSION:
Staff communicates throughout the year with Van Scoyoc Associates and with Congressman Jared Moskowitz’s office regarding federal legislative issues impacting the City.
Based on these ongoing discussions, Van Scoyoc Associates prepared the attached proposed 2026 Federal Legislative Agenda for Commission consideration. This proposed Federal Legislative Agenda, attached as Exhibit “A,” outlines the City’s federal legislative priorities for the upcoming year.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
