BACKGROUND:
The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to contract with a qualified and professional company to provide pressure cleaning services on an as-needed basis to specified areas in Coconut Creek and along Coconut Creek, Broward County, and State of Florida rights-of-way. The scope of services shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, cleaning and power washing all curbs, medians, sidewalks, associated pavers (including sealing pavers), wheel stops, ceramic/concrete roof tiles, boardwalks and building walls. These services enhance the look and aesthetic of City-maintained curbs, medians, sidewalks and buildings.
DISCUSSION:
On August 3, 2025, the City issued RFP No. 08-27-25-11 for pressure cleaning services. On August 27, 2025, the City received six (6) responsive proposals from the following companies: 1) Bel Air Maintenance, Inc., 2) Compass of Miami Services, Inc., 3) People's Choice Pressure Cleaning, Inc., 4) Roof Painting by Hartzell, Inc., 5) SFM Services, Inc., and 6) The Pressure Cleaning Man, Inc. A selection committee consisting of John Tetteris, Public Works Superintendent; Chad Hancock, Utilities and Engineering Superintendent; and Wayne Yorker, Transportation & Stormwater Supervisor, evaluated the proposals based on the criteria listed in the RFP. After evaluating the proposals, the selection committee ranked People's Choice Pressure Cleaning Services, Inc. as the primary vendor and The Pressure Cleaning Man, Inc. as the secondary vendor based on the following criteria: (1) Operational Plan for the City, (2) Industry Pricing, (3) Qualifications and Experience, (4) Resources and Availability, and (5) Past Performance.
