BACKGROUND:
An updated City website design was identified as a priority in the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget. Community Relations staff met with each Commissioner to discuss their thoughts and expectations for the City's new website. Feedback highlighted the need for a more user-friendly interface, improved placement of the search button, ADA compliance, fewer clicks to access information, a cleaner design, consistent branding, a modern look and feel, a less cluttered appearance, and easier navigation. Therefore, the City issued Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 05-29-24-11 on April 28, 2024 for qualified firms to provide website design and implementation services for the City’s website.
DISCUSSION:
Bids were electronically sent through the eBid System to four hundred seventy-nine (479) prospective vendors. Six (6) responses were received, one (1) of which was over budget and three (3) others were deemed non-responsive, leaving two (2) responsive bids from Spinutech, LLC, and Astriata, LLC. Upon carefully reviewing the two (2) submittals, Spinutech was the higher bidder, and staff is recommending award to Astriata, LLC for their high-quality designs, expertise in ADA compliance, and experience in branding.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
