BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program.
DISCUSSION:
For Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24), the NEG Program has a budget of $195,000 to fund neighborhood projects. The Victoria Village “H” Neighborhood Association is requesting $4,378.54 in matching grant funds from the NEG Program to enhance community safety and security. The total project cost is $8,757.09. The program guidelines provide a maximum reimbursement of $10,000 for security projects.
Some records relating to security systems associated with this agenda item are exempt from public disclosure pursuant to Section 281.301, F.S. and Section 119.071(3)(a), F.S. so they are not made a part of this agenda item. However, City staff has reviewed all grant documents to ensure compliance with City requirements.
The Victoria Village “H” Neighborhood Association application request is the second Neighborhood Enhancement Grant of FY24. This grant project is a further enhancement of the community and satisfies the standards established by the NEG Program.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
