BACKGROUND:
The City will pay tribute to the thirteen (13) fallen heroes of Kabul and honor their memory through a recitation of a poem by R.E.D. representative Reverend Maria E. Montesino, followed by a moment of silence accompanied by the lighting of thirteen (13) candles. The thirteen (13) United States service members were among 200 people killed in an attack on the Kabal Airport on August 26, 2021.
R.E.D was created with the motto of “Make Military Life Easier” while showing solidarity and support for our deployed service members and their families until they return home.
