BACKGROUND:

The Coconut Creek Police Department (CCPD) and the Panama City Beach Police Department (PCBPD) are criminal justice agencies recognized by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), who have an existing agreement for License Plate Reader (LPR) extract information approved by the City Commission via Resolution No. 2023-071 on April 27, 2023.

DISCUSSION:

This Interagency Agreement has been updated for compliance with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Security Policy requirements and allows for the City to continue receiving LPR information from PCBPD consistent with the updated CJIS requirements.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
