BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program.
DISCUSSION:
For Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24), the NEG Program has a budget of $195,000 to fund neighborhood projects. The Antigua II Condominium Association is requesting $8,757.09 in matching grant funds from the NEG Program to enhance community safety and security. The total project cost is $17,514.18. The program guidelines provide a maximum reimbursement of $10,000 for security projects. Some records associated with this agenda item are exempt from public disclosure pursuant to Section 281.301, F.S. and Section 119.071(3)(a), F.S.
The Antigua II Condominium Association application request is the fifth NEG of FY24.
The Association was awarded $8,757.09 in matching grant funds on July 13, 2023. The NEG guidelines state that an applicant who has previously received funds will not be eligible to receive additional funds for five (5) years unless there are no other applicants that meet the criteria and/or funding requirements. The FY24 NEG application cycle closes on July 31st. There are currently no pending applications.
