BACKGROUND:
The Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program is designed to provide funding assistance for projects that promote a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community. The proposed project seeks to enhance the security of the residential community. The applicant, 2304 Lucaya Lane Homeowners Association, is requesting $7,500 in matching grant funds from the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program. This homeowners association is located within the Wynmoor community. Access to the community is from Lyons Road or Coconut Creek Parkway.
DISCUSSION:
The City is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community; this grant project furthers this strategic initiative. The applicant is proposing to enhance community safety with the completion of a security enhancement project with a total cost of $16,239.84.
The Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program has a $195,000 budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022. To date, $18,625 (Coquina multi-phase landscape design project on this agenda) has been awarded through the program. This would be the second Neighborhood Enhancement Grant of FY 2022. This grant project is a further enhancement of the community and satisfies the standards established by the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program.
