A PRESENTATION OF THE LIFESAVING COMMENDATION AWARD FOR MEMBERS OF THE COCONUT CREEK POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE SEMINOLE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

BACKGROUND:

The Lifesaving Commendation Award recognizes police officers whose prompt, decisive, and outstanding actions directly resulted in saving a human life.

On October 18, 2025, members of the Coconut Creek Police Department and the Seminole Police Department demonstrated exceptional professionalism and bravery during a lifesaving incident.  The City proudly recognizes the following individuals for their role in this incident: Lieutenants Joseph Jahrsdoerfer and Daniel Noordeloos; Sergeants James Dingus, Kennard Garvey, Rafael Marin, and Andrew Renna; Officers William Bustamante, Jonathan Cortez, John Paul Harley, Michael Leonard, Ty Morgan, Ethan Rodriguez, Matthew Rowles, and Christian Salas; and Seminole Police Department Lieutenant Edward Woodberry and Officer Juan Bentiez.

We extend our sincere appreciation to these first responders for their exemplary actions and dedication to protecting our community.
