BACKGROUND:
In an effort to retain a high quality workforce, the Police Department’s General Order #54, Recognizing Outstanding and Courageous Performance, is designed to formally recognize acts of unusual, outstanding, or courageous performance and service to the community.
The Excellent Police Duty Award recognizes officers for outstanding acts, which substantially contribute to valuable police accomplishments and demonstrate exceptional initiative beyond the duties and scope of the employee’s job description.
The recipients of the Excellent Police Duty Award are Officers:
