BACKGROUND:
The City recognizes March 16-20, 2020, as “Government Finance Professionals Week” in order to bring awareness and celebrate with pride the role of the finance profession. Finance professionals deserve this acknowledgement because of the vital roles they play in the public sector.
“Government Finance Professionals Week” acknowledges an elite group of professionals that have made a difference in governmental efficiency and effectiveness. This week-long recognition provides the opportunity to help educate elected officials, administrators, taxpayers and vendors about the vital services that government finance professionals provide to the community.
