BACKGROUND:

The City’s Lift Station #15 was built in the year 2000 as part of the Banyan Trails Development. The City currently owns and maintains the lift station; however, a utility easement was never formally provided to the City for location and maintenance purposes. This resolution will provide the necessary utility easement to the City.

DISCUSSION:

The City is committed to ensuring continuity and productivity of existing utility services, as well as efficient and effective customer service. The Banyan Trails Homeowners’ Association has granted a utility easement to the City over a portion of their property where Lift Station #15 is located. This utility easement will allow legal access for the maintenance of the existing lift station, which was designed and constructed in accordance with City standards.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
