BACKGROUND:

Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida was founded on July 26, 1982 as Horses and the Handicapped.  For forty years, the organization has been dedicated to providing therapeutic riding and equine activities to children and adults with special needs.  The City congratulates Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida on its 40^th Anniversary celebration and expresses its sincere appreciation for its continued commitment to the special needs of children and adults in our community.
