BACKGROUND:
Each year, the City of Coconut Creek applies for appropriation dollars through the State Legislative Session. This past year, we applied for two (2) water projects and one (1) cyber security project. While the Governor vetoed two (2) of the projects, the Wastewater Conveyance System Improvements water project was approved.
This item is to present a ceremonial check for $150,000 to the City of Coconut Creek. State funds will be used for TV inspections, and relining and replacement of wastewater conveyance infrastructure to mitigate environmental hazards caused by aging infrastructure. The City will provide a $150,000 match.
