BACKGROUND:
On March 23, 2024, high school students from across Broward County participated in an Earth Day art competition hosted by the Broward Sierra Club. Students were asked to craft art pieces using recyclable plastic waste, and compose narratives that highlighted the issue of single-use plastic and other trash waste, explaining the message behind their creation. The City of Coconut Creek would like to recognize Zofia Chmielewska for her distinguished and award-winning artwork.
