A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE SOLE SOURCE INTERNET-BASED SOFTWARE SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL AGREEMENT AND MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH LEADSONLINE, LLC TO PROVIDE A REAL-TIME CRIME INVESTIGATIVE SYSTEM.

BACKGROUND:
The City previously entered into a sole source internet-based software subscription services agreement with LeadsOnline, which expires this year. LeadsOnline is a crime investigation system that has demonstrated its unique capabilities with agencies nationwide, delivering both real-time and historical data quickly, which improves officer safety and community well-being.
DISCUSSION:
The City is committed to protecting its residents and ensuring public safety. LeadsOnline is a search tool that provides an instant alert notification on crime-related pawn transactions, crime trends, and associated suspects from within and outside the City’s jurisdiction. No other online investigative research tool provides the combination of data features and capabilities as found in LeadsOnline.

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
